2012 Goal - Passing the RHCE

This year my goal is to pass the CCNA certification exam. I recently completed a CCNA study course and I'll be going to take the exam soon. My next goal is to obtain the RHCE certification. The RHCE has recently been broken in two exams; the RHCSA (system administration) and the RHCE exam.

Starting next week, I'm going to be posting blog entries covering what I cover as I study. The first few posts will be pretty simple topics such as installation and familiarizing yourself with the RedHat Desktop. I'll then dive into the command line (navigation, permissions, archiving, file editing, etc). We'll then jump into Linux internals, and make our way to managing services.

I'll probably follow the RHCSA Exam Objectives pretty closely. And I may pick up a study guide to help along the way. Most of the work will be in a CentOS 6 environment running in a VirtualBox VM.

The plan is to post two or three short Linux tutorials a week. When all is said and done, I would like to have a thorough collection of tutorials covering everything on the RHCSA/RHCE exams.

Welp, that's all for now. I'm going to go review some CCNA material. You should see my first Linux tutorial showing up early next week. Stay tuned!
